A two-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Ozark County resulted in injuries to two Theodosia residents, including a six-year-old male. The juvenile sought his own treatment for minor injuries, and 57-year-old Cecilia Schofield was transported by a private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with moderate injuries.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in front of a gas station on U.S. Highway 160 in Theodosia. The minor was a passenger in an SUV driven by Cheyenne Sherwood of Theodosia. Sherwood reportedly pulled out in front of a pickup truck driven by Schofield. The two vehicles collided and came to a stop off the roadway.
Sherwood was not injured in the 7:10 p.m. accident. Both vehicles had extensive damage.
