A deadly crash involving a South Carolina Department of Transportation vehicle is under investigation in Greenwood County. Troopers say the crash happened about 6:30 a.m. on Highway 178 near Scotts Ferry Road. Sky 4 flew over the crash and saw a vehicle involved with the SCDOT logo on it. It appears that a van and one other vehicle are involved. Coroner Sonny Cox said Charles Barry Kennedy, 59, of McCormick, was traveling south on Highway 178 when another vehicle traveling north on Highway 187 collided with Kennedy’s vehicle.
