Two dead after crash involving vehicles, motorcycle near Knoxville

Iowa State Patrol confirmed there were multiple fatalities after a crash near Knoxville on Saturday afternoon. Sgt. Alex Dinkla told KCCI multiple vehicles crashed with a motorcycle north of town on Highway 14 and G44. The crash happened south of the Mile Long Bridge. Authorities said a vehicle heading northbound on Highway 14 was rear-ended by another vehicle also traveling northbound. It caused the first vehicle to enter the southbound lane in front of a motorcycle. Dinkla said one motorcycle had a woman and man on it. They both were pronounced dead on the scene. Names will not be released until their families are notified. Two other vehicles were involved with the crash. The drivers have minor injuries and a passenger was transported to a local hospital.
